196 – Maintenance Handyperson

The role of the Maintenance Handyperson will be to undertake minor maintenance repairs at the services of the organisation. Undertake repairs in a timely manner, ensuring that emergencies are prioritised. The post holder must adhere to Health & Safety guidelines when undertaking repairs.

We are currently looking for a Maintenance Handyperson who: 

  • Has substantial experience in working in a similar role and good standard of education (NVQ2 qualification in construction related discipline, or an equivalent qualification – Desirable)
  • Excellent management skills
  • Ability to prioritise own workloads
  • Must be able to communicate with people at all levels
  • Ability to carry out basic property repairs to a high standard
  • Understanding of responsibilities under HSAW Act and COSHH
  • Good Team player
  • Clean driving license (Desirable)
