Getting the best start in life
Rainbows is a inclusive nursery service for mainstream children and children with special and complex needs. It is a safe and nurturing environment for them to learn and grow through play. Your child will have opportunities to explore, learn and play. They have a choice of activities to develop their imagination and teach them new skills.
Due to COVID-19 our nursery is closed to everyone apart from children of key workers. We are missing all our children very much and look forward to when we can go back to nursery. In the meantime we have put together some activities that you can do at home with your children download them here:
We are also updating our facebook page daily with ideas of activities and ways to keep children busy at home – please like and follow our Rainbow Family Centre facebook page.
Each child, in partnership with their parents, will have the best start to their learning journey and build a strong foundation for their future. We support families and children to actively contribute to their local community. We promote tolerance and diversity to everyone, encouraging our ethos of inclusiveness, openness and partnership within families and across the wider community.
Our nursery has been fully renovated and re-launched in May 2019. We now have three dedicated areas for each age group including a baby room, toddler room and pre-school room, each with access to our fantastic outdoor area, sensory room and soft play area. You can download our welcome pack to find out more information about us here.
We have places available for children aged 0 to 5 years and we are open Monday to Friday 8:00am to 18:00pm.
Rainbows is a fun, safe and nurturing environment where children can reach their potential. We have carefully selected qualified and experienced staff who provide stimulating learning experience where children can play and explore through the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum.
We know that a great deal of consideration goes into your choice of early years setting for your child. We work in partnership with you as parents and carers and you are at the centre of what we do.
“Children enjoy a wide range of interesting activities that keep them engaged, staff understand how children learn and develop, and they know the children in their care well.”
“Staff provide a welcoming and stimulating environment for children”
“Children are helped to develop their language skills, they join in well with songs and number rhymes supported by the use of hand singing by staff.”
“Staff regularly involve parents in the children’s care and learning, such as through daily discussions about their progress.”
