Flat A is a purpose built ground floor Registered Care Home, which provides support and accommodation for a maximum of 5 people, both male and female with learning disabilities.

The current service users range from 38 to 55 yrs old and require a high level of support to meet their individual needs, which includes personal care, communication, mobility and general health and social needs.

Support and Services

Leisure activities are encouraged through use of the following: Karaoke, art facilities, games, television and music.  The team also support the service users to plan, budget and prepare for holidays, day trips and other leisure activities.

The service is designed to meet the needs of people with physical support needs and or visual impairment.  The service has tracking in many of the rooms, adjustable worktops in the kitchen, very wide doorways for wheelchair access and a specialized toilet (closomat) to meet support needs.

The Team

The team consists of a Service Manager (also responsible for Flat B), an Assistant Service Manager, 6 Full time and 3 Part time Support Workers and 2 waking night Support Workers.
