Great Western Road

Our flats on Great Western Road are purpose built accessible flats accommodating six men and women in each flat with moderate learning disabilities and some additional mobility difficulties.

The current service user groups range in age from 40 to 80 years and have a diversity of support needs from personal care, mobility, ongoing health issues to long term individual planning.

Support and Services

Great Western RoadThe emphasis at the flats is very much on providing comfortable and homely surroundings.  The team provide the sort of environment which will encourage the learning of social skills, and the development of individuality, and independence at home as well as in the community. However, given that the group is also an ageing one, it is important to be able to work with people on maintaining skills.

Service users are actively encouraged to make use of specialist and generic resources in the community, including education, health care, employment and leisure activities.
