Outreach and Drop-in Service

City Living ProjectCity Living is an outreach and drop-in service based on the Harrow Road, for adults with learning disabilities. It provides information and advice on housing and benefits, as well as organising fun activities, social groups and outings. 

City Living also provides outreach support to people living independently. City Living ProjectOur aim is to provide a stable and supportive a housing opportunity, that enables people to gain the skills and confidence necessary to live as independently as possible. A team of outreach workers provide support based on an individual plan to enable each tenant to work towards their housing, social, and personal aims.

Outreach Support and Services

The City Living team manages 15 furnished, self-contained flats and 1 shared house.  We support tenants with all aspects of living including:

  • Paying Rent and applying for housing benefit
  • Budgeting Money and bill payments
  • Applying for benefits
  • Opening and operating bank accounts
  • Liaising with agencies and professionals
  • Cooking and dietary help
  • Cleaning and hygiene
  • Health advice
  • Advocacy
  • Leisure and recreational activities
  • Emotional support
  • Maintenance of their flat
  • Effective maintenance of the Tenancy Agreements

Drop In Sessions

City Living is open from Monday to Friday (10am to 4pm) for advice, information, support and lot of fun activities. Have a look at our timetable of activities.

Community Nurse Clinic

A clinic is held with a Community Nurse every Tuesday (9:30am to 12noon), for anyone with a learning disability living in Westminster. It is a chance for you to have a one to one session with a nurse to talk about on going health issues and to obtain any information or advice. Half hour appointments can be made by calling City Living on 020 8968 2688.
