Sure Start Queens Park Outreach Team is based at 21 Dart Street, Sure Start Information and Resource Centre.
Parents/Carers for children under four can drop into Dart Street and get information about the activities and services in the area.
We have two computers with internet access that parents can come and use. Our opening hours are
Mondays: 12.30 - 17.00
Tuesdays: 09.00 - 17.00
Wednesdays: 09.00 - 17.00
Thursdays: 09.00 - 13.00
Fridays: 13.00 - 17.00
We visit parents in their own home as soon as they register with Sure Start. You are welcomed to Sure Start services with free gifts and information and an activity booklet about the services in the area.
The Outreach Team should visit every family with a new-born baby within the first two months of their baby's birth. As a Team we are here to help parents feel comfortable and find out about all the free activities and events happening in Queens Park.
We also aim to provide information, support, links and referrals to other services. We plan and organise activities, community events, outings, fun days and training sessions for parents. We run a Parents Forum every six weeks, where parents have a chance to come along, meet each other, express their views and concerns, be updated about the planned activities as well as shape the services we provide.
