The nursery service at Rainbow is registered with Ofsted and operates 5 days a week, for children with complex learning and physical disabilities aged 6 months to 5 years.
The staff in the nursery work very closely with the children's parents and social workers, and with all the therapists to ensure they are providing experiences which meet the individual needs of the children. Children are involved in a variety of experiences with a focus on sensory and tactile experiences, which challenge and stimulate their development. The staff plan experiences for the children within the Foundation Stage Curriculum and 'Birth to Three Matters' Framework.
At Rainbow we believe parents are the first and foremost teachers in a child's life. We work in partnership with the children's parents and carers, and aim to ensure that all aspects of the nursery reflect and promote the children's and families backgrounds, abilities, culture and beliefs. We are an Equal Opportunities workplace and believe that all children, families and staff should be treated fairly and equally regardless of their culture, religion, background, ability or gender.
