They and a staff team went to the Daly Meadows campsite in Buckinghamshire and Vince, who owns the site, provided free access and helped with the whole event. Caroline Lister engaged the local community in making the event happen and people donated tents, provided food, including barbeques and set up activities including den building, guided walks and the opportunity to hold an owl!
The children also got the chance to meet horses, see frogs, see a wasp’s nest, toast marshmallows around the campfire and eat blackberries. Unfortunately they also got to experience a heavy rain shower at 4.30am with the boys tent leaking. Despite this, they all had a huge amount of fun…
